Homemade Cheese Dog Treats
Bacon n' Cheese Doggy Biscuits
Ingredients:
Three quarters of a cup Flour
Half tsp.Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt
Two thirds of a cup Butter
Two thirds of a cup Brown Sugar
One Egg
One tsp. Vanilla extract
One and a half cups oatmeal
One cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
Half cup Wheat Germ
Half a pound bacon or bacon bits
Preparation Instructions:
Combine flour, salt, and baking soda; mix well and set aside. Cream
butter and sugar, beat in egg and vanilla. Add flour mix mixing well.
Stir in oats, cheese, wheat germ and bacon. Drop by rounded tablespoon
onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 for 16 minutes. Cool and
enjoy!
Garlic & Cheese Cookies For Dogs
Ingredients:
One and a half cups whole wheat flour
One and one quarter cups grated cheddar cheese
Quarter pound margarine
One clove garlic -- crushed
One Pinch salt
Preparation Instructions:
Cream the cheese with the softened margarine, garlic, salt, and
flour. Add enough milk to form into a ball. Chill for 1/2 hour. Roll
onto floured board. Cut into shapes and bake at 375 for 15 minutes or
until
slightly brown, and firm. MAKES 2 to 3 dozen, depending on size.
L'il Garlic & Cheese Bites
Ingredients:
One cup wheat flour
One cup grated cheddar cheese
One Tbls.garlic powder
One Tbls. softened butter
Half cup milk
Preparation Instructions:
Mix flour and cheese together. Add garlic powder and butter. Slowly
add milk till you form a stiff dough (You may not need all of the
milk). Knead on floured board for a few minutes. Roll out to 1/4 inch
thickness. Cut into shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake
350 degrees oven for 15 minutes. Let cool in oven with the door
slightly open until cold and firm. Refrigerate to keep fresh.
Simple Cheese Cookies For Dogs
Ingredients:
Two cups unsifted all purpose flour
One and a quarter cups of shredded cheddar cheese
Two finely chopped cloves of garlic
Half cup Vegetable oil
Four or five tablespoons water
Preparation Instructions:
Combine everything except water. Whisk in food processor until
consistency of cornmeal. Then add water until mixture forms a ball.
Roll it into 1/2" thickness and cut into shapes. Bake on ungreased
cookie sheets about 10 min. (depending on size of shapes) at 400. Cool
and store in refrigerator.
